Fireproofing is the application
of a spray-applied or trowelled
material. This can be done to a
rated floor, roof and column
assembly to protect the structural
steel of the object for a given period
of time. At Temperatures of 800-
1000 degrees F., steel can bend
and buckle under load, with
possible collapse ensuing. Fire
resistant materials cling to the steel
preserving its strength. These
materials prevent heat damage to
the steel providing valuable
evacuation time for personnel and
protecting property. The individual
steel members hold so that objects
retain structural integrity.

Northwest Insulation installs cementitious products. These
products meet or exceed all recommended performance
standards providing fire rating of up to four hours. Call us for all
